“We’re so awkward in front of the camera.”
I hear that from couples all the time, within the first two minutes of their inquiry. Then again at the beginning of their session. Once we start moving, laughing, and joking around, the camera starts to feel less daunting and the excitement begins to grow.
I’ll give you easy prompts so you always know what to do, but nothing will feel stiff or forced. You might walk together, bump hips, whisper something dumb, or pull each other in close. That’s usually when the real smiles show up.
Once you feel more at ease, we’ll slow things down and get a little closer. The soft looks, the forehead kisses, the way you hold onto each other when no one is telling you how.
You’ll leave with photos that feel warm, relaxed, and very much like the two of you. You’ll also leave thinking, “Okay, that was actually really fun.”
